Our Attempt at a Portrait

So I tried booking us a portrait session with a really good photographer, then Will decided not to do that. So I canceled.
Then I decided to have a friend do it for us, but changed my mind figuring I could do it myself...

Party for the Pets

I invited over 30 people to come to my party. I had yummy treats and drinks prepared. It would be a night of fun chatter, games and music, all they had to do was a bring a gift (toys, food etc) for the Idaho Animal Shelters.

Five people showed up. Sad. Not sad for me but I felt horrible that I wasn't able to collect more items for the shelter. Very small numbers survive the shelter. Every little bit helps.

Even though my feelings were saddened by the lack of involvement, my hopes are still high because many people want to get/give pets for Christmas gifts and the shelter is a perfect place to find one!

Decorated for Christmas today. My party is tomorrow and I am in dire need of a some Christmas Cheer around here! Wasn't really into it this year. Seemed more like a chore than a fun time. Guess I should have brought out the Eggnog!

Shutterfly’s Holiday Card

Family and friends, I have great news to share about a wonderful website called Shutterfly, where you can upload your photos and share them in many ways. Shutterfly is an awesome product, with great designs that make great gifts. My grandparents and my aunt are photographers, they did our wedding. They ordered all of our prints from Shutterfly and made a photo book for us through Shutterfly too. What a wonderful gift it was to us. We love it.

I plan to use Shutterfly this year for our Christmas cards. I have wanted a photo Christmas card forever and finally talked my husband into getting one this year. Once I showed him the designs for holiday cards he was sold! Here is the stationary photo Christmas cards we plan to use . I think we have decided on the “Seasonal Chic Noir Christmas Card”. It’s a great design to use multiple pictures and be stylish too.



We are also making a family photo calendar for 2011 with all our fun pictures we had taken in 2010! The calendar is great because you can note birthdays and other events on certain dates. You’ll never miss an important date again!

The Best Remedy for a Short Temper is a Long Walk

I was bored and in need of exercise. Its so boring on the treadmill so i decided to load up Preston and Ava and head to the hills. We had a lot of fun. It was really cold but Preston still got in the pond (Will thinks he fell in it because he isn't much of a water lover) and Ava found the dirtiest puddle to dip into.
They make me laugh though and I am so thankful to have these two as my "friends" :)
