Life's a Peach Summer Soiree

August 7th is my birthday and I wanted to do something fun...for myself. I really want to throw a dinner party! I love the peach theme. I love the color and the food. I am going to host it on my patio and enjoy the night with some family (hopefully) and close friends.
Here are my inspirations for decor:

I think the menu will look something like this:

A Prayer for Animals

Hear our humble prayer,
O God,
for our friends, the animals,
especially for those who are suffering;
for any that are lost or deserted
or frightened or hungry.

We entreat for them all
Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them,
we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.

Make us, ourselves,
to be true friends to animals
and so to share
the blessings
of the merciful.

Ava & Preston

Well...$650 later we got Preston neutered and meds for his little ear infection. Ava had a ton of lab test done and we now know that she has thyroidism. I give here a little purple pill 2 times a day! And she is already back to normal. Her weight is dropping and she has way more energy. Now I have 2 puppies in the house.

Drew & Amber's Big Day

The weekend started out leaving the house Thursday and staying at Will's parents. We left the kids there (Ava & Preston) and headed up to Kendrick. We got there early and couldn't find Amber or Drew and no cell service. So we just went to Amber's moms and hung out. I was given a new name, Dolly, and met a bunch of Amber's family. Amber showed up a little later from picking flowers. The rest of the day included more flower picking, more people meeting, and decorating!
We headed to Moscow for rehearsal, then to Pullman for rehearsal dinner at the golf course. Will had steak and potatoes and I ordered butternut squash ravioli...yuck. Drew drove us back to Kendrick, Jeff Gordon style then Amber, Beth and I stayed at Beth's grandmas.
The next day was the wedding. We got up early, showered and headed to Angie's where we all got ready. Angie is the best hostess ever! She had muffins, bread, fruit, mimosas and coffee ready to go. Along with mirrors set up around the dining and living area! Dresses were on a clothes rack and steamed. See what I mean...BEST HOSTESS!
Once we were all ready, Becky handed out gifts. Amber got her grandmas hankie and a new Journey necklace from her mom and dad, us girls got new hankies. It was a teary moment so a perfect gift! Then we headed to Moscow on an RV (got car sick) and began pictures. The pictures will turn out so good because the campus was beautiful and it was a wonderful sunny warm day. Loved it!
I miss U of I so bad. I wish it wasn't clear up in Moscow, so I could go back.
So, pictures, pictures, pictures then the time came for the ceremony! Poor Amber was a little nervous but kept asking how everyone else was feeling. What a sweety! The wedding went off with a bang. It was great! Very beautiful. Our flowers were beautiful and the bride was a ray of sunshine. Everything was perfect.
Here are some pictures:

Then we went back to Kendrick for the reception. We ate a plate of delicious food then we watched the 1st dances and cake cutting and could hardly keep ours eyes open. We knew we better hit the road so we could make it back to Will's parents to get the doggies and head home!

Beautiful wedding Amber and Drew. So glad I could be a part of it!

Congratulations!!!
